Scarboro Servicing was established in November 1972 as a family business.
We started with an electrical appliance shop in Swanley, Kent, selling and repairing washing machines, vaccum cleaners and all small appliances. In 1979 we moved to larger premises remaining in Swanley. The company traded successfully for many years, with John and Jan taking over the running of the business from his Mother and Father in 1985.
In 1994, Domena, who manufacture steam ironing presses, asked the company to be their main Services Agent and in 1995 we also became the Domena dealer training centre for the UK. Domena had their head office in Haywards Heath and we worked in partnership with them.
In 1998, being extremely impressed by the Domena brand, and with the shop in Swanley attracting less attention due to out of town shopping centres and the re-development of Swanley, we decided to concentrate on Domena only and moved from the shop, taking a warehouse on a nearby industrial estate.
Domena then moved to a warehouse in Uckfield in 2000 and as we were working so closely with them, we followed them a little while later. Lydia and Trevor Brown also joined us to work with Domena.
Domena have now closed their office in the UK, during a corporate restructure in 2010 and left us to be the only importer of Domena steam generator presses and irons, Domena spares and accessories in the UK.
In 2013 John and Jan retired, leaving Lydia and Trevor to take over the running of Scarboro Servicing, although John is still involved in the service and repairs of the Domena Steam Presses and Irons.
In 2015, Trevor and Lydia also became the only dealer for the MAC5 steam generator ironing presses.
Lydia & Trevor have over 17 years of experience in Steam Generator Products and are passionate about exceeding your expectations.
